Valentine’s Day is the holiday that celebrates passion. We show our passion to those we love by gifting cards, candy hearts, romantic dinners and flowers. Merriam-Webster dictionary also defines passion as, ” a strong feeling of enthusiasm or excitement for something or about doing something.” So on this Valentine’s Day, take a few minutes and ask yourself the following questions:

1. What is your passion?
2. Is your passion helping you define your purpose in life?
3. Do you protect your passion by surrounding yourself with supportive people?
4. How are you continuing to fuel that passion?
5. What are you doing to help support another person’s passion?

You can also take some time and ask these questions at your next board or staff meeting. Does your team have a joint passion that fuels your actions to achieve your organization’s purpose? Passion needs to be supported, fueled and nurtured so it won’t fizzle and die.
